“It was difficult coming from Monmouth.It said road closed when you turned left at Aldi.Spent 15mins trying to find another route.Phoned the hotelier and he said it was blocked but you had to turn left and ended up in a narrow track with no passing room.Roadworks are finished next week.”

“Pleasant and clean accommodation, with quiet tranquil setting. Building is tired in places however is clean and comfortable. Excellent value for money with attentive staff, thank you. I would stop again”

“The best thing about this hotel is the location which is fantastic, and the staff were very nice. We stayed in the Oak Suite which is apparently the best room; it benefits from a private terrace with a pair of easy chairs to watch the river and it's occupancy go by, which is lovely. For me it definitely wasn't a four star, but a fair three star hotel. There was a temporary kitchen which also hampered them as well as the view. The room was clean and airy with a (strangely grubby!)Juliet balcony...
