Stayed at the Bells hotel for business trip. Lovely place and views. Walking distance to village of Coleford. Nice clubhouse where you could get drink food and drinks. Nice little gym in hotel but had to pay £5 a day per person . Would stay again , nice and clean although bathroom was a bit rough and no air conditioning in room.

The hotel was well located for the wedding we attended at clearwell castle and was a good price for the area. However, the whole building suffers from creaky floorboards which make an absolute racket anytime anybody moves, which means once somebody decides to be up, there is no more sleep for you. The beds are also quite hard and the rooms were stuffy with no fans provided. I also thought the bathroom could have benefitted from a deep clean. Overall it was ok, but I wouldn’t go back.

Got a really good price on a room with a gym on site. There was decent parking available and I got parked up near the entrance. I had a room on the ground floor which was close to the gym as well as the entrance. The room was pretty standard but what was required for me. I got shown to the gym which had new equipment and had plenty to choose from. I was then told it was an extra £5 to use it which would have been nice to know as part of booking the stay. I had a great workout at the gym then went out for an evening meal. A good night's sleep was followed by a breakfast buffet at the clubhouse which was decent. It may have not been the greatest accommodation experience but it did represent tremendous value for money and I would look to stay here again based on that.

Good stay in comfortable room

Nice welcome and upstairs had a good view. Bed was extremely comfortable and we slept well. Sound proofing between rooms seemed non-existent but this didn't interfere with our sleep. Very generous servings for the meal we had in the evening and a great complimentary breakfast :)

Lovely setting and close to Cleawell Castle where we had a wedding to go to. Quiet hotel even though busy. Lovely breakfast in the clubhouse and service excellent.
