“Very disappointing stay. The room I booked was already occupied when I arrived. I was moved to a smaller room that did not match what I paid for three people, and my children had to find accommodation elsewhere. The place was not very clean and had an unpleasant smell. The kitchen was dirty. I did not even wait for breakfast. I chcked out very early in the morning.”

“A really lovely property - very clean, well equipped and comfortable. Great location in the Peak District with pubs in walking distance and short distance in a car to lots of activities and places of interest. Offroad parking for at least 2 cars. The property is pet friendly with hard floors throughout the ground floor but the garden is small and not the most secure if your dog is large or an escape artist. “On our arrival we were met by the delightful owner who made us feel very welcome. She was also a source of information which proved extremely beneficial. Our room was part of the converted stable block which was fine apart from the small windows which made the room dark and claustrophobic. Had we stayed longer then I would of asked to be moved. The bathroom was impressive which consisted of both shower and slipper bath. Food good served by young staff who looked after all our needs really...

“This is looking dated. Threadbare carpets in communal areas and rooms. Mattress is hard as nails and likely been there a while. And strangely there is a lack of power sockets in rooms. Wouldn’t go back alas.”
