Vacations Close To Alexandria Black History Museum

Careful they might cancel on you on the day you are suppose to arrive! Had it booked over a month in advance and they canceled on me the day I was arriving!

Room and bathroom were tiny, which would have been okay if not for all the other issues. We booked a king room and the room was two twin beds pushed together with a large gap between them. The air barely worked, we had it down to 62 before it even started to feel cooler than outside. There were no plugs/outlets by the bed to charge devices at night. There was no fridge or microwave. There was no dresser or storage in the room other than a tiny closet with a broken door to get in. The shower was old and dingy and barely had enough room to turn around in it, we felt dirtier getting out of the shower than getting in. The walls were very thin, so we could hear everyone above and beside us like they were in our room. The only thing the hotel had going for it was the location, only a couple blocks from the White House, close to restaurants and very close to the metro station.

Balcony was a great option! Water Taxi excursion added to the trip!

Staff are friendly. Breakfast is an enjoyable experience. A small complaint is I could hear noises from other rooms. We could also hear noises from outside.
