Vacations Close To Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo

Let me start by saying if this was a one night stay the review might not have been so bad. But we were there for an entire week. First off this hotel is listed as pet friendly. No where does it say in the pets can't be left unattended, hence why we chose this hotel. When we checked in they made us sign a paper that said we could not leave pet unattended. I said we brought a kennel so he will not be out running if we aren't here. Can we go places while he's kenneled? Now unless I misunderstood I was told we could leave but if there was an emergency or neighbor complaint we would have to come right back. We were gone an hour when we were called because a neighbor complained my dog was barking. We were then warned if we left him again they would call Animal Control to come get him. That set my husband off! If this is a pet friendly location, I would expect to hear lots of barking (which we did but we are used to it. No need to snitch). Then we got reminded of where the dog paths were. We know exactly where they were and we were the ONLY guests cleaning up after our dog, The hotel is old and smells like mold. If you have someone staying like we did for a week a dresser would be nice.This is also a non smoking building yet everyone just hangs out and smokes outside others doors. Oh there is so much more but I only have so many characters left. Advice short term stay ok, week DONT DO IT!

Property was beautiful and clean. We were ten minutes away from the beach. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this place to book.

Easy access to the beach, and the kids loved the pool. There were many local restaurants, event spots, and more to visit nearby. The condo was clean and met our expectations.

First let me say the sweet lady who cleaned our condo was top notch and did an amazing job, but she was clearly very stressed when we arrived because of how big a job it was so we commend her. The size of the unit is great and we loved it, however, it could really use some TLC. There was some wear and tear that’s gone a little. The fridge has cracked drawers and shelves. The dryer was wrecked. One of the ceiling fans needed to be pushed to work. A lot of the light switches don’t do what they advertise despite the labels. The management was responsive to issues. We were told last minute one of the showers was not usable due to renovations, but we were comped for this upon inquiring. Only 2 parking passes per unit so plan for that. Very safe and nice community overall. The beach chair rental team is awesome, would come back just for Ethan

I loved Everything about Island Tower except the elevators they were not working properly. when you pressed the button for the elevator to go up or down the elevator on the opposite side would open so you would have to run to catch the elevator on the opposite side. Other than that everything was perfect the view was amazing.

Very clean, and nice. Will book again.
