“Lovely junior garden room with a very nice view! Very cosy and dog friendly! Super food served and the staff especially Jane & Lauren were so lovely and gave super service! Would highly recommend staying or dining here!”

“Definitely a 5 star B&B. Lovely big room with terrace seating outside, overlooking the sheep and guinea fowl in the fields. Loads of parking. Very clean and well presented. The owners have pretty much thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and feel homely. Breakfast, with loads of choice, is cooked freshly to order in the area that serves as a bistro on several evenings in the week. We ate at the bistro - 'Feather and Beak' on one occasion and the food was outstanding. The owners...

“Had a nice stay for our anniversary. Good suggestions for local walks. Wine and food was nice. It was a little disappointing that they did not do anything to mark our 10 year wedding anniversary and we had put a note on our booking. Drinks are quite expensive £6.50 for a pint/£10 for prosseco glass”

“Location is great - short walk into town and just across the road is a lovely woodland for walks in the shadow of the castle and access to the North York’s Moors is very close. Accommodation layout really good for a social gathering - very clean and well equipped including books and games etc ”

“Apartment very nice. Cleanliness could be better lots if dust, toilet brush extremely dirty, actually gross. Shower screen leaking water on to floor. Communal area tired and needs a revamp and cleaned.”

“Great location and great house. Communication could be better.”

“Harbour cottage is conveniently located on the High Street, less than a minutes walk away from the beach and pub. It appeared freshly decorated and it was lovely and modern throughout. Things to be aware of though if you are sharing the property with friends are the bathroom door doesn’t close fully or lock so you can see into there a little with the door closed and the sofa would only comfortably seat 3 adults in my opinion. ”

“This is a great place to stay, this was our second visit, I think it's location is great, 5 mins to the town centre. Does have a bit of a hill to climb back up to the house, which could be a negative for some. The property is modern and clean, will definitely stay again ”

“Generally a decent stay but just a few points which were not right & so thus was the reason for not giving a glowing review. 1..the weather seal on the edge of the external door had come away for 25 cm & just was getting worse. 2..no bulb was present in the living area floor lamp. 3..no washing up liquid was in the cupboard & so resulted in us needing to purchase our own. There was a list in the cupboard of all items which should be present. 4..there was water all over the kitchen top & we...

“Fantastic property, in a great location. We'll certainly be back.”

“Lovely place to stay, good area and free parking a big bonus. Flat is clean, well ordered, with all the mod cons you need. We would certainly stay again. ”
