“Our stay at the Lorna Doone B&B could not have been better! We loved everything about our experience in this beautiful house with fantastically friendly hosts. Great room, a delicious breakfast and wonderful people who made us feel like royalty and family at the same time. Certainly one of the best places that we have ever had the luck to experience.”

“Alison and Adrian are lovely hosts. The room was everything we needed. Would visit again”

“Enjoyable stay at what is perhaps best described as a fantastic restaurant with rooms. The restaurant overlooks the water and both dinner and breakfast were excellent. However our room was landside, with only a view of Irsha Street. Although small, the room and facilities were excellent. Fresh milk in the fridge is always much appreciated by us tea drinkers.”

“Wow! We liked everything about our stay. The directions were spot on (not always easy in the UK) and the on -site parking was an added bonus. The location is walking distance to The Valley of Rocks in Exmoor National Park, and to the super cute “Old Town” area of Lynton. Our room was spacious and stocked with everything we needed to feel like we were in a deluxe hotel. My husband was especially impressed by the complimentary cake. Superb breakfast, which is made to order with many options....

“We had an absolutely fantastic stay! From the moment we arrived, Stephen gave us a warm, incredibly friendly welcome and made us feel right at home immediately. We stayed in Room 3, which was immaculately clean and thoughtfully equipped with absolutely everything we could possibly need. The kitchen area was a brilliant touch, and we absolutely loved the generously sized bathroom and superb shower. Thanks to the wonderfully peaceful and quiet location, we enjoyed a brilliant, uninterrupted...

“Beautiful clean property Drew & Penny are so friendly and helpful and the breakfast is excellent cooked to perfection with plenty of choice. This is our second visit and we will be returning next year.”

“We had a wonderful stay at The Salt House and couldn’t have asked for a better place to relax and unwind. The property was beautifully presented, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The property was surprisingly bigger than we expected too! It is located opposite a pub however we were pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was! If we ever visited Ilfracombe again we would stay here!”

“A traditional B&B in a Victorian terrace, with clean, spacious, comfortable rooms. There are a lot of stairs and it’s uphill from the town so not suitable if you have mobility difficulties. Breakfast had lots of choice, with good vegan options too. We recommend taking up the option of paying for their private parking as there was never any space on the street.”
