“Beautiful hotel and grounds We had a lovely relaxing two night stay in the comfort cottage. Spa was lovely and clean. The food was amazing, great breakfast and dinner and not badly priced at all. My only negative was I ordered a bottle of wine and chocolates to be in the room on arrival and this was missed. However they did offer the bring in the second day but we didn't bother as we had already had wine in the bar on our arrival.”

“Property has wow factor with good food and friendly staff.”

“Staff were friendly and helpful. Lift was out of order for all of our stay which was not good as I have arthritis in both knees, left hip and right shoulder. There were a lot of stairs - this spoilt the holiday slightly for me”

“Second stay here. Fab place, full of character and quirkiness Great location! Great staff, though could do with a couple more as only 3 working in a very busy pub...and they worked hard and with a smile 😃 Seemed a little less loved this time, sadly, like a bit of paint was needed, but still a great place!”

“Fuimos a conocer la región de Northumberland. Este hotel es muy agradable, cerca de la entrada a la playa, y el personal es muy amable. Desayuno excelente y variado.”

“Just back from a lovely stay at the Black Bull Inn. Staff were friendly and welcoming it's in a lovely location for parking and amenities. We had the luxury of staying in room 14 which featured a four poster bed, the room was lovely and the breakfast was amazing thank you cant wait to visit again.”

“Amazing inn with super attentive staff. Highly recommend!”

“I stayed in the dog friendly room which was ok but not great. The carpets were stained and when we first walked in the room we could smell dog it wasn't a fresh smell. There was a half used toilet roll in our bathroom and no fan so it steamed up quite quickly. The room was at the bottom of the beer garden so was very noisy which wasn't that much of a problem. We ordered food it was very fast and efficient, large portions and reasonably priced. The sun was in the beer garden all day. Staff very...

“Parking was good. Meals in pub were great. Breakfast was fantastic. Good beer.”

“After a last minute change of plans beyond our control, the staff really went above and beyond to make the stay comfortable, even providing food outside of kitchen hours and an earlier breakfast time. Can't say enough good things, would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Alnwick.”

“Brilliant host and staff, food quality and portions amazing. Clean and comfortable. Relaxed atmosphere. Could do with an update. Would definitely recommend to others and return. ”

“Perfect location with all of the local facilities nearby. Property was well equipped & maintained to a very high standard. Our host, David was very attentive, nothing was too much trouble for him. We will definitely be returning.”

“Das Hotel ist seit Anfang des Jahres geschlossen! Wir standen um 22.00 Uhr auf der Straße und mussten uns nachts noch ein Hotel organisieren! Sorry geht gar nicht!”

“This is an excellent hotel, very peaceful, good food and service.”
