“Lovely convenient location. Very clean and freshly renovated. Staff very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return. We were given an upgrade to a deluxe seaview room which was very well equipped and comfortable. Car parking might be a problem as it is limited and the suites and high grade rooms get a space reserved. They kindly saved us a space as we needed disabled access. The breakfast was very good and freshk6cooked. We hope to stay again.”

“Beautiful guest house …very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful rooms, lovely and clean, with mini bar …and they little details in the rooms like Disaronno liquor ….a little Italian restaurant situated downstairs. Maldon is a beautiful village, with little shops and restaurants just around the corner, I would also highly recommend Mrs Salisburys for food & service too which is just around the corner on the high street. Parking is also available. ”

“What a lovely hotel. We stay in Southend a lot - the place we used to stay at closed, so this was our first time trying somewhere new. We are so pleased with our choice. “We had a one night stay because of a local wedding so decided to stay overnight at the ship inn. Not disappointed at all. The staff was all polite bedroom clean food good.. Breakfast was continental with a selection of cereals & oats yogurts. I was delighted with everything and would go back again no problem 😊 ”
