“Wonderful staff - could not have done more to help or be more friendly! There was a good selection of food but I found it overpriced for what it was - mains start at £20. It's classic type food which was cooked well but not outstanding. The room and bathroom were incredibly clean and well presented. The bed was slightly uncomfortable, though and I couldn't help but think that an investment in new mattresses would go a long way, especially for tired travellers after a long day! Otherwise,...

“This is a great family-run hotel whose owners and family work their socks off to ensure you have a nice stay. The highlight of the hotel is restaurant and pub, which serves really lovingly prepared meals using local ingredients, good portions and honest prices. The staff are all really friendly and there’s a great choice of local beers and whiskeys to try. Of course, its location just in front of the port with its ferry terminal and bus centre is also a highlight too - just roll out of bed...

“This is a lovely, clean and inviting B&B - made exceptional by the couple who run it. My room and the whole place felt spacious, the views are lovely (across fields down to the harbour), and also the location is great even if you don't have your own transport. I'm vegan, and not only was there plenty to choose from, but they'd have got in more had my message got through the system soon enough! I had fresh fruit and toast every morning, and having breakfast cooked to order was so nice, too...
