The room lacked a TV, but actually this was an absolute blessing and it made change not to reach for a remote control. “A perfectly acceptable place to stay. I've stayed there many times and some of the rooms are wonderful. Room 12 (that I was in this time) is not one of those rooms! It's small, noisy (yards with dogs outside), the bathroom is basic and the bed is not amazing either. Check-in was poor but there was only one chap on duty in a busy Wetherspoons type pub, so he didn't have that much time (or energy) to give me. All in all, just OK, not amazing.”

“Very nice room with sea view, unfortunately very steep stairs to get there and as suffering mobility issues, not the best, although staff were not aware. Breakfast excellent, and evening meal for 7 highly commented on favourably, hot plates and food. Unfortunately a bout of food poisoning occurred overnight, although the source cannot be confirmed but suspected. Would recommend and stay again. Chair to be placed in room in September after renovations will be a bonus.”
