“Excellent accommodation, lovely food and friendly staff. Would definitely stay again. Only one thing that I would change is the shower ‘curtain’. It was very clean but I still don’t like them especially when they blow against you.”

“Incredible stay at The Saddle Rooms. Easy check in with very helpful staff. Treated to a lovely twin room named 'The Pretender ' (all rooms named after famous racehorses) with my son. Attention to detail wonderful. Amazing large bathroom with true waterfall shower. Comfortable beds and air conditioning/systems that actually worked. We had dinner which was worth every penny. “Hicimos noche de camino a Edimburgo. La habitación era espaciosa, cómoda y limpia. El alojamiento era una casa antigua pero reformada y con encanto. El personal muy amable y nos ayudó en todo lo que pudo. No teníamos adaptador de corriente y nos prestaron uno. La comida era buena y tenian una bonita terraza para tomar cerveza”

“I loved being here and plan to go back soon. It's idyllic. Beautifully kept and presented; with very kind and professional staff. I didnt know what time the event I was attending nearby would end; and as soon as I came back they brought me a wonderful platter of fish and much more. Saying theyd rather I had it prepared freshly than keep it waiting. Beside a river, in glorious, quiet countryside with the dramatic fells above; I can't wait to stay longer and explore the area. Can't recommend...

“An awesome unique and lovely place to stay. The food, service and room were great. Lots of history and busy which understandably makes it a huge task trying to keep up with the cleaning of the walkways and stairs. An awesome experience so thanks to all x”
