“Lovely place. This is a rustic place in the middle of nowhere and is fantastic! Worth all the travel. Staff were amazing. Food was superb. I had the giant Yorkshire pudding with beef bourginon. My room was lovely and the bed comfortable. A very welcoming place even for a single traveller like me. I’m definitely going back at some point! Brilliant”

“Robin at reception was a true gem and the best part about the hotel.
After her showing us to our room it all went downhill sadly.
Bar staff and restaurant staff were inconsistent, didn't listen, were abrupt and stopped talking to us to chat to other people that had entered the pub. No thank you after the purchase of drinks, just a swift turn away. Told us what soup was available after I'd mentioned a week of Puree'd soup in Scotland had not been good... what soup did I get, puree'd veg after...

“It was excellent value, comfy and cosy. Loved that there was a bath AND shower (useful if you break your wrist so bath is the only option).
Staff were really nice and helpful, and cheered me up after hospital with hot chocolate.
No food as out of season (so check first if you want breakfast). I would go back though as great base for walks”

“Good location with excellent views, unfortunately room was very basic and smelt damp.
The shower was poor and the bathroom wasn’t very clean.
Continental breakfast in October???
Over priced stay for basic amenities.”
