“I was in Rm 4, a small twin with ensuite. The window opened (hood) but unfortunately, right onto the alley where the cooking fan vented. It was quite loud but did stop before bedtime. Breakfast was surprisingly included and very tasty. Did not have dinner as there was nothing small that I wanted to eat. I was later told by a customer that you could order half portions of the main menu items. I didn’t realize this and would have done so. Good drafts on tap, staff were friendly but the room...

“Very comfortable clean and well equipped room. Great bar with an excellent selection of whiskies. Excellent food with a small menu. Good service from a friendly, well informed staff who were a great credit to the hotel. Difficult and limited parking. Will certainly visit again.”

“I liked the room food and mini fridge options for breakfast and snacks. Suited my early departure plan. Also I was able to put my bike inside at reception ground level., since it’s a small on street building. The room was functional but the sink had a slight smell which would be good to investigate. Great position.”

“Beautiful, large rooms. Great service, and comfortable bed. Wish we had been staying longer.”

“The restaurant next door was lovely for a quick bite. The room and hotel were great and a good location for our needs. The staff was excellent. “We really enjoyed our stay. Nice location, easy to find nice places to eat. Close to Edinburgh (we were there for daughters Uni tour) Will definitely return as we liked the area and close proximity to the A1”

“Great hotel, would stay again!”

“The stay was good. The accommodations were clean and beds very comfortable. Clean, hot and plenty of water pressure in the cottage. Toilet paper was almost empty in bathroom. Hard to find unit when arriving to park because the number was not posted in the email communication and the phone number provided was out of service.”
