“On arrival, we were shown to the "penthouse", a twin room on the third floor. The large bedroom light worked, but none of the smaller, bedside lights worked, so not great at night - totally or all nothing. Floor-space in the room was significantly compromised by a dismantled wooden bed-frame cluttering up the room. The toilet adjacent to our room was ok but we were told that the shower room was not usable so we had to use one on the lower floor (which was for several other rooms). My partner...

“I stayed in this hotel room and it was ridiculously hot to the point of being unbearable. The air conditioning either didn’t work or was completely ineffective, and the room felt like a sauna all night. I wasn’t able to sleep at all, which completely ruined my stay. For the price I paid, this is unacceptable. I would not recommend staying here until they fix their temperature control issues.”

“Tuve que realizar un viaje de negocios a Leicester durante 3 dias. Al llegar me di cuenta que las habitaciones no tienen baños propios, sino que son compartidos y se encuentran cerca de las habitaciones en el mismo pasillo. No habia leido esa parte en el itinerario, al ver las fotos en las cuales una habitación salia con baño propio. “Decent on paper, disappointing in reality. The room looked fine in the photos but fell short in person. We were on the ground floor and arrived to a strong smell of cigarettes - the throw blanket had a burn hole in it, suggesting a previous guest had smoked despite the advertised £100 fine. There was pink staining on the shower floor and the only chair had a broken spindle on the back - when I went to move it, the top rail separated entirely from the remaining spindles and I had to pop it back...

“It had everything we needed. Bed was comfy. Bedding and towels were clean. There was a shelf unit that was about to collapse and the blinds were knackered and discoloured. The shower was very warm and powerful. Instructions and how to enter the building was emailed to me. But I didn't realise and was expecting a message via WhatsApp or text etc. Tried to call the number on the door and also the other number I had, but couldn't get a reply. Then I found the email, with all the information...

“I used it for Download Festival, it’s really close and there’s a bus stop right outside so it was perfect and a bargain for the price. There’s a persistent smell of damp, but I always carry a room spray with me. Other than that, absolute bargain, lovely people, plenty of space and I’d definitely go back.”

“I liked the whole security of the place and the little kettle with condiments offered. I didn't like how there was only 1 flat pillow the stains on the carpets were not great and the walk to the reception especially when the sat back doesn't take you anywhere near is ridiculous. Reception should be close to the accomodation in my opinion. None the less the staff were really helpful with directions and very welcoming”
