Good value hotel room.

Good value hotel in convenient position near railway station, pubs restaurants and shops and I really liked our ensuite wet room. Although no breakfast in hotel we went to nearby cafe for lovely coffee and breakfast..

Started off badly with the room we were issued having a drainage issue causing a bad smell in the room. We spoke to staff through Expedia who offered us a different room. The staff were helpful and made the change in rooms easy and after the bad start everything after was good. Nice quiet place, rooms are nice to look at and clean

Okay place to stay. No free parking to speak of, otherwise it's a short walk away. Room is a good size. Basic amenities inside, there is a dining room connected which seemed welcoming and pleasant although I did not use this. I would happily stay again when in Oakham.

Bit of a regular here always normal business trip but ideal if your on a break local attractions Rutland water but Oakham is a nice un spoilt town. All self service but if you want a meal the hotel sits above a lovely restaurant and there are places in town to enjoy a coffee or full meal

One night.

The check in was smooth.. id asked to check in earlier which was accommodated. I had a contact number for any problems or needing help. Earlie check in cost an extra £10. Very happy with room, nice and clean.staff very polite. Parking just down the road.. shame its not free. Lots of place's to eat in. Generally happy.

Checking in was not what I expected, but adapt, improvise modify and overcome. The room was ok. I suppose for the price the TV was Ok, but I missed my HD transmissions. My bette noirse with this and so many other hotels is the small basin in the bathroom with a monobloc tap. So difficult to was one's face properly having to avoid a forehead injury. Great curry at the Everest Lounge.

Room and en suite both clean and good quality. Room (no 11) at top of building so v warm in hot weather - fan provided but quite noisy. Tea and coffee facilities. TV missing remote but not major issue. Quality of care from staff top rate - had cut knee outside and staff responded v quickly with providing and fitting plaster. Great job - thank you.

HOTEL OAKHAM is a real sh*thole. Room has no A/C (it’s 30’C), housekeeping brought 2 fans trying to cool the room (2nd floor, under the roof), they are super noisy/loud, TV has no remote control and can’t be operated without, room has no hairdryer, no clothes hangers. It’s a JOKE. Worst hotel experience in the UK for past 15 years
