“This location, The Charles Inn at Vacationland in Bangor, ME is on your website and allowed me to book 3 rooms and it hasn’t been in operation for 2 yrs. I drove 4 hrs with family to arrive and find out we in fact did not have rooms to stay the weekend for my daughter’s college graduation. I had no other option but to look for 3 rooms elsewhere at the last minute and had to pay $1,300 more than I thought I was paying for the first place I thought I had booked. “Rented a cabin for the long weekend. NOT what we expected based on the online pics of the cabins. Did not have the "Maine cabin" vibe at all - more like 1980s RV interior design. Vertical blinds on sliding doors were missing some sections so no real privacy. Bed was very uncomfortable. Hot water lasted about 3 mins, so showering or washing dishes was tricky - to say the least. “We just spent 3 nights here over 4th of July weekend. Overall, the property was nice, clean, and comfortable; however, it was advertised as sleeping 4 people when it only sleeps 2. There is only one bedroom with a double bed and that’s it. There’s a couch in the living room, but it’s NOT a sleeper.
