Around 8:00 we pick you up, we'll embark on a journey through picturesque villages towards the west.
Our first stop is in Vouves at the famous ancient olive tree, dates back more than 3000 years. Here we visit an olive mill to learn about the making of the “liquid gold”.
Next comes Perivolakia, where we have a stop at a traditional wood oven bakery, we will see cheese and honey making processes all accompanied by local flavours.
We continue in a family run winery with long history and extensive presence in cretan winemaking. From the refreshing Vilana and Vidiano to the unique flavors of Plyto, Wjite Romeiko, and Moschato of Spina, it offers something for every palate.
In their museum we get a glimpse of viniculture and wine production, as well as daily life and secrets of the famous cretan spirit tsikoudia distillation; from past generations and nowadays.
