Fukuokazeki Sakura Park

Fukuokazeki Sakura Park is a beautiful park located in Tsukubamirai City. Covering about 2.7 hectares, the park features a spacious lawn area, large playground equipment, and a water play area, making it a popular spot for families. In spring, the park is famous for its stunning cherry blossoms, with around 450 cherry trees lining a 1.8 km stretch along an irrigation canal, and a total of about 600 trees in the surrounding area. During this season, the Fukuokazeki Sakura Festival is held, featuring local specialties and various events. It's a fantastic place to enjoy hanami (cherry blossom viewing) and relax in nature!

Mount Tsukuba (筑波山) is a famous mountain, standing at 877 meters. It is known for its twin peaks, Nyotai-san (877m) and Nantai-san (871m), which are often associated with male and female deities in Japanese mythology. In spring, Kijo Park becomes a popular destination for cherry blossom viewing, with approximately 50 Somei Yoshino cherry trees blooming from late March to early April.
