The tour begins with hotel pickup (in or near Arequipa's historic center) at 8:50 a.m. We'll head toward the Sillar Route, making our first stop at a viewpoint overlooking the volcanoes surrounding the city. We'll then visit the Añashuayco Quarry, where we'll learn about the extraction and carving process of sillar, Arequipa's emblematic volcanic rock. We'll then head to Quebrada de Culebrillas, a narrow canyon with walls up to 20 meters high, where we'll take a 20-minute hike and discover ancient petroglyphs. Your return to the city is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
