Following a bus ride through some unbelievable landscapes, you'll arrive to Schärding. Benefiting from its location by the Inn River, Schärding became a center of trade for goods and wares of all different kinds.
The area around the current town has been inhabited since the Neolithic period. From this period of time you'll be able to see the buildings of the Silberzeile. Following your sightseeing tour, you can take the opportunity to sample a typical Austrian coffee whilst enjoying the famous Austrian coffeehouse culture.
The Inn River forms the border with the neighboring German state of Bavaria. Directly opposite the town on the Bavarian side of the river is Neuhaus am Inn, which is accessible via two bridges.
