Activity itinerary

Coeur D'Alene Jewett House
  • 5m
One of our first stops will be at the Jewett House. This beautiful lake front house was built in 1915 by the timber industry for a plant manager that worked at a nearby mill. Not only did they build the manager a gorgeous home, but its also on a spot with some of the best views of Lake Coeur d'Alene. From this location we will be able to view the famous 14th hole of the golf course. The 14th hole is the only floating green in the world. The beach front of this gorgeous home is now public property and a favorite spot for locals and we will show you how you can access it and avoid the crowds. After departing the Jewett House we will head along Lakeshore Drive with its beautiful old mansion homes and incredible views of the lake.
McEuen Park
  • 10m
Coeur d'Alene is home to many beautiful parks and one of the largest is McEuen Park. We will travel through the park. along the base of Tubbs Hill. The park has active osprey nesting boxes and deer are often seen roaming around the hill. We will stop at the Adventures of Mudgy and Millie trailhead that was developed based on a popular children's story book that was brought to life with this 2.5 mile hiking trail. We will make a stop at the Fallen Officer memorial and waterfall for a brief break and photo op.
Coeur d'Alene Resort Spa (Pass by)
We will cruise through the Coeur d'Alene Resort, which was recently voted the best lake front resort in the country. The resort is home to the worlds longest free floating wooden boardwalk that is nearly a mile long and free to explore. Each year the resort plants 30,000 Tango Red geraniums on the grounds that make the resort really pop with the vibrant red colors.
Coeur d'Alene City Park and Independence Point
  • 5m
After leaving the resort, we will hit the Centennial Trail to ride through City Park. The park was original known as Blackwell Park and was built by lumber baron Fredrick Blackwell in the early 1900's. In the 1920's-1930's the park would have as many as 100,000 visitors over a weekend, all coming to see the botanical gardens and lake front property views. Its now called City Park and popular with visitors for the large sandy beach front for sun bathers. It's a popular spot for the July 4th fireworks and concerts in the park.
Coeur d'Alene Carousel
  • 10m
The Coeur d'Alene Carousel was built in 1922 in New York. With its hand carved, hand painted ponies and chariots, its more like a piece of moving art that you can once again ride on. The carousel spent the first 20 yeas of its life as part of a traveling carnival. In 1942 Playland Pier Amusement park was built in Coeur d'Alene in the area now known as Independence Point. The carousel found its new home on the pier and remained there until 1975, when a fire burned the entire pier to the ground, but miraculously the carousel was removed prior to the fire! Now more than 100 years old, the carousel has been fully restored to its original beauty. Its like taking a step back into time. The carousel also incudes hand painted art work by local artist that depicts the history of Coeur d'Alene.
North Idaho Centennial Trail (Pass by)
The Centennial Trail is a 23 miles long paved pathway that is popular with bicyclist, joggers and walkers. The trail begins at Higgins Points and snakes its way through Coeur d'Alene, along the shores of Lake Coeur d'Alene and up the Spokane River, to the border of Washington State. We will ride along various portions of the Centennial Trails to take in all the beauty that it offers.
