In addition to the resident wildlife, the park is the starting point for the remarkable 800 km journey begins in the southern, where millions of wildebeest embark on their trek north, crossing into Kenya’s Maasai Mara. The Calving Season begins between January to March. By February, 8000+ Calves are born each day

The wildlife is usually more active during these times of the day. As your Serengeti safari is private, your game drive timings will be flexible, useful if you are travelling with children, or are on a honeymoon. You may also choose to have a full day game drive [ one for the whole day] with a packed picnic lunch at no extra cost. Return in the evening for dinner and overnight at the lodge/Camp.

You will arrive in Ngorongoro in time for lunch and an evening game drive. The Ngorongoro is a world-famous safari destination offering its visitors superb game viewing in an unbelievably unique setting. Nothing can fully prepare you for the moment you first gaze down into the Ngorongoro. The crater is made up of about 264 square kilometers (102 square miles) of wetlands, forests, grasslands and over 30,000 Large Mammals, a beauty to behold.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater, Return to Arusha
  • 1 stop
  • Meals: breakfast, lunch
  • Accommodation: Not included
Ngorongoro
  • 12h
After a good night sleep and heavy breakfast. Travel to the floor the Ngorongoro before starting your journey to Arusha. The game drive starts on the crater rim, following a steep descent road that winds down the inner wall and onto the crater floor. From this initial position, it’s hard to fully appreciate the nature of this experience but, as you venture across the open plains, the walls rising around you on all sides are impossible to ignore, fully enclosed with limited line of sight in all directions. It is only once you are in this position that you can truly comprehend the fascinating nature of this experience. As dramatic as the landscape is, it is the wildlife that inevitably steals the show. And, given the predominantly flat surface area of the crater floor, locating wildlife is usually considerably easier than it can be in other parks. Spend the entire morning & Afternoon tracking animals before starting your return journey to Arusha.
