The experience begins with pick-up from your hotel in the historic center of Cusco between approximately 4:00 AM and 4:30 AM, when the city is still quiet and slowly begins to wake up among colonial streets and the fresh air of the Andean morning. From there, we will head south of Cusco in tourist transportation, crossing valleys, mountains, and small villages that have kept their traditional essence intact, while the landscape gradually changes and becomes more and more impressive.
On the way, we will stop in Cusipata, where we will enjoy a hot local breakfast, ideal for acclimatizing and getting ready for the adventure. We will then continue our journey through spectacular high Andean landscapes, passing through vast pampas, rural communities, and routes surrounded by mountains, until we reach the province of Canas, where the impressive Pallay Poncho Mountain is located.
Later, we will arrive at the starting point of the hike, where we will begin the ascent to Pallay Poncho Mountain. The trail offers us unique landscapes of the high plateau, with hills in natural tones, herds of free-roaming alpacas and llamas, and an atmosphere of absolute peace accompanied by the Andean wind. Each step brings us closer to an increasingly surprising setting, where nature shows itself in its purest state.
Upon reaching the top of Pallay Poncho, we'll experience one of the most impressive moments of the tour: a mountain tinged with reddish, green, yellow, and ocher colors that seem to have been painted by nature. Here we will have time to contemplate the landscape, rest, take photographs, and hear the tour guide's explanation of the geological formation and cultural value of this important natural attraction.
After this summit experience, we'll begin the descent along the same trail, enjoying the path from a different, quieter, and more contemplative perspective. Afterwards, we'll begin the return journey to Cusipata, where at around 1:00 PM we'll enjoy a buffet lunch, ideal for recharging our batteries with a varied selection of local dishes in a cozy atmosphere.
Finally, we'll continue our return to the city of Cusco, once again passing through the high Andean landscapes that accompany the end of this unforgettable experience. Arrival in the historic center of Cusco is scheduled for approximately 5:00 to 5:30 PM, thus culminating a day full of nature, adventure, and the magic of the Peruvian Andes.
