Explore the Thuringian Forest near Oberhof on a special puzzle tour that takes you through typical low mountain range scenery around the famous winter sports resort. Step by step, you will solve tricky tasks and, in the process, discover quiet forests and special places.
The puzzle hike starts at the parking lot at the Rondell and takes you a short distance along the famous Rennsteig trail into quiet forests and to special places. Along the way, you will encounter highlights such as the mystical Schützenbergmoor, the idyllic Veilchenbrunnen (Violet Fountain), the historic Forstarbeiterdenkmal (Foresters' Monument) and the Obelisk am Rondell. Along the way, quiet spots repeatedly beckon you to take short breaks before you continue hiking towards the destination and finally complete the loop back at the parking lot at the Rondell.
During your hike through the Thuringian Forest, tricky puzzles await you at various stops, requiring careful observation and working together to put the pieces together. At the end of the tour, you will crack a combination lock and can look forward to an attractive regional voucher as a reward. Along the route, there is also the opportunity to stop at a cozy mountain lodge with a beer garden (food and drinks not included).
Seven puzzle cards contain the tasks for the tour. Using the decoding compass, you will decipher which card is to be used next. The route is described on the cards and will guide you safely along the way. In addition, at selected points, you will learn fascinating background information about the region and nature.
