What you can expect

  • Escape Vienna and embark on a guided hiking tour with a certified mountain guide on the famous Rax with beautiful Autumn colours. It is one of the most beautiful alpine areas close to Vienna and offers spectacular views across the Eastern Alps.

Even well-known visitors such as Sigmund Freud sought peace and inspiration in the mountains around Vienna.

Many day trips from Vienna show you the Alps from a distance. On this tour you step into the mountains and experience them up close.

Begin your adventure with a comfortable and scenic car/van ride from Vienna to the trailhead.

Experience forests and rocky trails, taking in breathtaking views of the Alps. Hike about 900 meters up and down over a 10-kilometer route in a comfortable pace adjusted to your needs, with breaks along the way.

Along the way your certified mountain guide can also share practical tips about alpine navigation, map reading and orientation in the mountains.

Stop for a rest and enjoy an optional meal at a mountain lodge.

After a full day in the mountains you return to Vienna in the evening - refreshed, inspired and with unforgettable alpine memories.

Please note: You can also join on your own. The hike requires across all customers overall at least two booked spots to take place. To secure your spot, simply book for two people, if the platform asks for it while booking and let me know. If someone else joins, I’ll let you know so you can cancel the second spot. If not, enjoy your exclusive private tour!
