What you can expect

  • Experience the thrill of exploring one of the world’s most iconic volcanoes! The tour departs from our agency at the Pompei Scavi stop, where you’ll board a comfortable bus that will take you up to 1000 meters on the spectacular slopes of Vesuvius. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of the coast, from the Bay of Naples to the Sorrento Coast and the island of Capri.
Once you arrive, a pleasant 15–20 minute walk will lead you to the Gran Cono, the volcano’s beating heart. Here, you’ll have 1.5 hours of free time to explore the active crater, observe the dramatic volcanic formations up close, and capture panoramic views that are truly one-of-a-kind. Vesuvius, with its millennia of history and majestic presence, offers an unforgettable experience combining nature, adventure, and culture.
At the end of the excursion, the bus will bring you back to Pompei, leaving you with lasting memories of an extraordinary adventure. The tour lasts a total of 3 hours and is the perfect opportunity to witness the raw power of nature and the stunning beauty of the Vesuvian landscape
