Activity itinerary

Fuji Shibazakura Festival
  • 1h
  • Admission ticket not included
The Fuji Shibazakura Festival, which started in 2008, is held at Motosuko Resort when the shibazakura plants are in bloom. Although there are famous spots for viewing shibazakura blossoms throughout Japan, Motosuko Resort is the only place where you can view shibazakura and Mt. Fuji together. The roughly 500,000 vivid shibazakura plants comprise the largest single expanse of shibazakura in the greater Tokyo area, and their pink, red, white, and purple blossoms, spread out like a carpet, create a beautiful landscape for your enjoyment.
Saiko Iyashi-no-Sato Nenba (Traditional Japanese Village)
  • 50m
  • Admission ticket not included
Traditional Japanese village located in Fujikawaguchiko Town, known as the most beautiful village in Japan, a picturesque spot with Mt. Fuji in the background. Destroyed by a landslide during a typhoon in 1966, it was reconstructed and reopened as an open-air museum and traditional craft village in 2006. Stroll through this ancient village, and marvel at the unique "armor structure" houses created by the villagers to resist the severe winter snow. Take a closer look at the thatched roofs and experience its livable characteristics of being warm in winter and cool in summer. Standing at the viewing point, overlooking Mount Fuji in the distance, the mountain peak and the roof complement each other, forming a beautiful picture.
Lake Kawaguchiko
  • 20m
Lake Kawaguchi is the most popular of the Fuji Five Lakes, renowned for its stunning panoramic views of Mount Fuji from the shore. It has the longest shoreline among the Fuji Five Lakes. On a calm, clear day, you can see a perfect mirror image of Mount Fuji reflected in the water. In 2013, the lake was added to the World Heritage List as part of the Fujisan Cultural Site.
Oishi Park
  • 30m
Oishi Park is a beautiful scenic area where you can enjoy a stunning view of flowers, Lake Kawaguchi, and the majestic Mt. Fuji all at once. The lakeside promenade features various flowers that bloom according to the season. On the west side of the park, the "350-meter-long Flowers Road" offers a vibrant display of colorful blooms throughout the year. At the end of Flowers Road, you'll find Kochia (summer cypress) that flourishes from summer to autumn, making it a popular photo spot. Throughout the year, the park showcases 90 different types of seasonal flowers, with various blooms visible at any given time. As you stroll along the promenade surrounded by flowers and gazing at Mt. Fuji, you'll feel a sense of tranquility. ( Note: During the 2025 Kawaguchiko Cherry Blossom Festival, visit the Sakura forest by Lake Kawaguchi instead of Oishi Park. )
Kawaguchiko Natural Living Center
  • 15m
On the second floor of the Kawaguchiko Natural Living Center, you will find a unique perspective where you can easily capture the magnificent picture of the red torii blending with Mount Fuji. ( Note: During the 2025 Kawaguchiko Cherry Blossom Festival, visit the Sakura forest by Lake Kawaguchi instead of Kawaguchiko Natural Living Center. )
Chureito Pagoda
  • 50m
The Chureito Pagoda, located in Arakurayama Sengen Park, is a must-see attraction. This park is renowned for its breathtaking panoramic views of Chureito Pagoda, Mt. Fuji, and Fujiyoshida City at the foot of the Mountain. To reach the Chureito Pagoda and the observation deck, visitors must climb 398 stairs. The view from the top is considered one of the best in Japan and is listed as one of the 21 must-visit places for photographers from around the world. While the cherry blossom season is ideal for capturing the iconic image of Mt. Fuji surrounded by cherry blossoms and the five-storied pagoda, the park offers stunning scenery throughout the year as the landscape changes with the seasons.
Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine
  • 15m
The shrine was built in 705 and has served as the guardian god of Arakura Village for over 1,300 years. It is a sacred place of worship where people seek protection against bad luck, promote harmony within their households, and pray for safe childbirth and successful child-rearing.
