Day 1:
After being picked up from your hotel in Riohacha, head to the salt ponds of Manaure. Admire the salt piles, recognized nationwide for their majesty as large mountains completely made of salt. Visit the entire salt complex in Manaure, where you will learn everything about salt production and see the 4,200 hectares used for its production, highlighting the crystallizers, industrial and artisanal ponds, and pink water pools.
Appreciate the Flamingo Valley, and enjoy a lunch that will allow you to taste the best dishes the sea can offer. After resting for a while in Manaure, continue your adventure heading towards Cabo de la Vela. On the way, pass through Uribia, the indigenous capital of Colombia, via a road through the desert.
Have a guided tour, enjoying the combination of the desert and the sea. Climb a small mountain for a beautiful view of the desert and the sea of Cabo de la Vela. Visit Rainbow Beach and the lighthouse. Then, move to the accommodation for dinner.
Day 2:
Enjoy breakfast in Cabo de la Vela. Visit the beaches of Pilón de Azúcar, a sacred place for the Wayuu indigenous people, where you will enjoy a morning of sun and beach. Return to the inn for lunch and prepare for your return to the city of Riohacha. Transfer to Riohacha.
