Admire the pine-covered sandbar, take photos of the white sandy beaches, and enjoy views of the Aso Sea and the Sea of Japan.

Next, visit Chion-ji Temple at the southern end of the sandbar, dedicated to Manjushri, the god of wisdom. Walk through the ancient gate and see a fan-shaped poem symbolizing progress.
