What you can expect

Experience the Festival of Herbs in Karlovo, an emblematic event in Bulgaria. Enjoy a day of great events and cultural rituals. Choose between the 2 tour options for maximum flexibility.

On the 20th of June, it's all happening in Karlovo. Take part in the traditional events as we are going to send you the exact program.

The most interesting part is in Buhalov Han House for a demonstration of lavender making in an authentic gulpana. Watch a bread kneading demonstration, baking in a “Podnitsa” clay pot, and tasting.

Enjoy a folklore program with a Samodiv dance, a ritual “Aenian Bull,” and the crossing of the New Year's Wreath (woven from herbs). Taste lavender tea.
