Founded in 1975 by Jackie Dingmann, the museum was one of the first celebrity museums to open in the United States. The museum is authorized by the Judy Garland Heirs Trust and is connected to the interactive Children’s Discovery Museum.

The new 13,000-square-foot museum opened in June 2003. Explore the museum's collection of Judy Garland memorabilia and see the restored Judy Garland Historic House.
