This tour is unique because we will visit the part of the Salinas and Aguada Blanca Reserve where the lagoons are formed, where natural salt production occurs. We will also have a full view of high Andean animals such as South American camelids, flamingos, and parihuanas. It should be noted that they are more visible in some seasons than in others. We will have a prodigious view of the guardian volcanoes such as Misti and Chachani, including a very close view of Pichu Pichu Volcano. The excursion concludes in the afternoon. You will be able to experience the wonders of this National Reserve.
The tour starts in the morning, at 6:00 a.m. or a few minutes earlier, as indicated by the guide.
On the way to this nature reserve, we will first appreciate a volcano viewpoint with a charming panoramic view.
We will then continue ascending for a chance to have breakfast near the lagoon or the extensive salt flat, depending on the season.
Around 8:00 a.m., we will admire the immense salt desert and parts of a naturally formed lagoon that offer us a mirror-like view or reflection.
We will also see many llamas, alpacas, and other camelids up close.
We have the option of hiking through the salt flat or enjoying some small hot springs, which are not as hot, but can greatly enhance our adventure.
A little before noon, we begin our return to the city, arriving by 1:00 p.m. or earlier depending on the group's activity. This way, you can have the afternoon free to go out for lunch on your own, including something typical and traditional from Arequipa.
Our services end near Arequipa's main square.
