The climb up the tower of the town hall, built in 1901, begins with a short walk from the Dessau Tourist Information Office to the town hall. From here, you'll pass through the new and old buildings of the Dessau Town Hall to the gallery at a height of about 47 meters.
At the top, you will be rewarded with a wonderful view over the floodplain landscape of the Mulde and over the urban area of Dessau. In good weather conditions, you can even see the Brocken.
The ascent is not a guided walking tour in the strict sense, but the staff at the Tourist Information Office can provide some information about the town hall tower.
