Itinerary :
Our agents will meet at Alexandria Port upon your cruise ship arrival and whisk you away on a journey through time.
Your first stop is the historic Pompey’s Pillar, a towering monument erected in honor of Emperor Diocletian in the 4th century. Once part of the Serapis Temple, this pillar stands as a testament to the grandeur of ancient architecture, rivaling the Soma and the Caesarean.
Next, we’ll drive you to the Catacombs, the most significant Roman Cemetery, intricately carved into three levels in the rock. This labyrinth of history offers a unique glimpse into the past.
After exploring these ancient wonders, you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant in Alexandria. Your culinary adventure is followed by a visit to the Qaitbay Citadel,a majestic fortress built on the site of the ancient Pharos (Lighthouse) of Alexandria.
Note: Alexandria library is closed on Friday so you can visit the roman theater instead.
