This was the most interesting hotel we stayed at during our two week trip to Switzerland. I cannot speak for the quality of other hotels in this area, but the Alex Alpine Resort is a lovely place to stay. It is filled with character and just a short walk from the train station, making it an easily accessible hotel near many shops and restaurants. We had a view of the Matterhorn right from our balcony. Breakfast was sufficient. We would absolutely stay there again.

Great hotel, great service. Wonderful amenities. The first floor is full of interesting paintings of Matterhorn and lots of seating areas that would be great to enjoy in the winter. We enjoyed a fantastic dinner and wonderful breakfast. Thank you. Would stay again.

Great Hotel in a Great Location

The property is in a central and very convenient location. It’s less than a 5-minute walk from the train station. The staff was great and helpful. The room was a bit too warm for my liking but not a huge deal. Overall, a solid property.
