Fabulous place! I stayed in a single room in the hostel. The room was clean and bright. There was a TV and a sink. The showers and toilets were clean and warm. Breakfast was great value. Big choice of food and drink. I had a full English and croissants. I will definitely stay here again

Booked this hotel last minute to avoid the drive home, and I’m so glad we did! The hotel was beautiful, comfortable and had everything we needed. The staff were lovely especially Libby, who checked us in, she was so friendly and helpful — a real asset to the hotel. The breakfast was absolutely beautiful and we all really enjoyed it. The location was great too. We had a lovely stay and can’t wait to come back! 😊

Great solo traveller experience. Room was as described, basic but perfect for an easy york stay. Clean facilities. Cleaners are abit loud in the morning. Good location with a bus route outside the entrance. Plenty of parking and good security. Will stay again.

Enjoyed the inexpensive rate and proximity to bus! Cleanliness wasn’t the best in the room, but for the rate can’t complain. There were a few pieces of hair on my bed sheets which didn’t leave the best impression, but moved on. Shared bathroom was fine and always empty which was nice! Walls are quite thin so I could hear the guy next to me snoring. And some people were quite ignorant and loud at night, but not the hostels fault! Overall decent stay for a budget trip!

Close to York and useful to have free parking. 40 minute walk into York but easy to get buses in as well as Ubers. Good breakfast and helpful staff and a later checkout of 11am is welcome (unlike 10am in other hotels). Always a pleasant stay.

Young lady on reception was really helpful and friendly. Room was clean, tidy and well appointed. Great value. Only small grumble would be the showers regularly change from nice temperature to freezing, then boiling hot,, but easy enough to judge and suck out of, once you get used to the timing. Would definitely stay there again

Wonderful staff who were very helpful and friendly, plentiful breakfast, clean rooms. tv weirdly situated so close to ceiling to the left of the bed, not much room to move around the double bed, no air con but fans available by request. Quiet surroundings, excellent parking, close to bus links to the city centre, nice pubs nearby

Staff were fabulous. Room was very basic , tv was on the side wall so hard to watch will in bed. No hairdryer in the room, en suite was modern and small. Conveniently located, only 15mins to the city. Breakfast was good and the staff keep the dining area spotless.
