The room was lovely and spacious and clean, had everything you needed. The bed was super comfy with lovely soft bedding. The bathroom was amazing, lovely big space with both a walk in shower and roll top bath. The bath takes a long time to fill but it’s absolutely worth it. The host was so friendly and attentive, went absolutely above and beyond and catered to my dairy allergy. Would not hesitate to rebook if I return to the area in future

We had a lovely stay at Harmony house, a real home from home. The room was simple but delightful with lots of thoughtful extras and breakfast was delicious. Adele was a very friendly and helpful host. We would definitely recommend.

Good accommodation in a great location for our needs. Shower and kitchen a bit small but ok for a short stay. Our host was an unusual character. Hard to get hold of before arrival and then seemingly uncomfortable with dogs? I had selected dog friendly accommodation only but there was no place to confirm dogs in attendance. We were contacted whilst out to say the dog was distressed. Although this was later downgraded. We we contacted or called on each day of our stay (?) which got a response from the dogs and did not help. The charge for dogs staying was excessive and not visible when booking. I can only conclude the host is not comfortable with dogs. What initially seemed good value turned out to be expensive. Not the best of away days.

Lovely B & B

Adele was the perfect host. This quaint B & B is very well presented. We stayed in the Great Burnett room which was beautifully decorated. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay outside of York this is the place for you. Would definitely recommend this accommodation.

A great stay.

We stayed in the Cornflower room. Very impressed with all of the thoughtful extras included from milk in the fridge a variety of beverages, bath salts etc. Adele was a lovely host, very helpful with local information. Breakfast was delicious. Would definitely recommend and will return if in the area.

Adele is the perfect host, very welcoming and helpful in recommending local attractions & restaurants. It’s the second time we visited in the space of a year. This time we stayed in the Cornflower room, which was equally as beautiful as the Poppy room. Without doubt we’ll only stay there in the future, as our stays have been faultless

Hidden gem

What a stunning house! Tasteful and elegant decor throughout with homely features. Adele is the perfect host; attentive yet not overbearing and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was delicious and couldn’t be faulted. The room was spotless with plenty of refreshments and little treats left for us to enjoy. We will definitely come back and highly recommend it. Excellent base for exploring with a great host. Harmony House is a lovely property overlooking the green next to the local church, very peaceful. Poppy room was spacious and comfortable. Adele's breakfasts were excellent and she was able to give us advice on local restaurants. Stay here!

We had a fantastic stay, everything was lovely, clean and comfortable. The extras were extremely well appreciated - such as the complementary toiletries, drinks selection and homemade millionaire's shortbread. The host was very welcoming and accommodating and the breakfast was delicious. I would be very happy to stay here again.
