“Wonderful stay at the Jockey Club rooms, beautiful building and grounds. The room was beautiful, the bathroom was huge with a free standing bath. The breakfast was very good, served in a grand dining room, all the staff we met were very helpful, polite and informative. Especially the night manager, he had a great knowledge of the history of the Jockey Club rooms and their amazing wealth of the Arti facts, paintings and extensive rooms, the bar area was really splendid. “Check in was super quick and the staff are polite and friendly. Room was ok. Fridge came in handy, and we spotted an iron with a small ironing board. Also tea/coffee making facilities. I suspect the room could get warm, but there was a fan there, which we didn't need. The double glazed window in room 3, opens a bit, but the old sash windows behind it don't open. The flip side of that being that you wouldn't hear any external noise from outside. Electric shower which worked fine with good...

“Wifi didn't work at my room at all, nice hotel with very good restaurant but nowadays good WIFI quality is a must, in a business trip very needed. Personally I found the mattress too soft.”

“The staff were very helpfull, the room was clean, our room was above some kind of air con or fan unit outside on the wall and it was so hot we had to have the windows open so it was a little noisy. On the Friday night there was an event on after the races.. A DJ playing music until 1.30am, we were informed of this upon check in but feel that if we had been informed a little earlier we may have cancelled our stay and booked alternative accomodation as I had a 4 hour drive home and not much sleep...

“Great place to stay for Forest Live. Hotel is lovely, warm and welcoming. It was a warm day so quite hot inside but we spent time outside in the huge gardens, the bar was open and we sat next to the river. Breakfast was superb, fresh fruit and proper butchers sausages! Would definitely stay again.”
