“Quirky stay in Tunbridge Wells. The theme is fun and throughout the restaurant and hotel- decorations, staff uniforms, music and menu options. Lots of parking right outside. Food was lovely. The breakfast had unlimited coffee and juices and lots of options. The only downside was we went in the heatwave and the only thing available was a small desk fan so the heat was unbearable in the room so we slept really badly, could do with additional larger fans in the rooms”

“Th Leicester Inn is a very old listed property and as such has some wonderful aspects giving it great character. Being old and listed also means that modern features like double glazing and air conditioning are not present and we stayed on one of the hottest days of the year. Our room was very hot but a fan was provided and we were able to have an open window. There is a good size car park at the rear of the Inn. Food and service were superb.”

“A lovely traditional pub within striking distance of many beautiful places. The food was always great particularly the breakfast and came out wonderfully hot and on hot place which is so often an issue in other hotels. It's lovely to sit out in the garden and we were staying while the World Cup and Wimbledon were on and it was easy to catch the games in the evening but also lots of space to get away from the action. “I understand why the reviews aren’t higher. There’s no elevator (lift) or air conditioning, as the hotel has been kept in its original heritage style. The bed isn’t the most comfortable either, but everything is acceptable for a budget hotel. The English breakfast was excellent, and the garden is beautiful. The hotel is also conveniently located, with bus stops and shopping just a short walk away.”

El precio, El personal muy poco amigable. La única persona amable, Mina de Recepción por la mañana.”

“Very comfortable bed and pillows. Easy parking and convenient access directly from car park to rooms which was great as we got back after midnight. Very nice continental breakfast and friendly welcome from our host.”

“Helpful staff and nice pub with decent food. Exterior room not anticipated - at back of car park and noisy with arrivals/deliveries etc. from 5am so sleep impossible. Room itself ok, basic but clean, but tiny shower room needed some tlc. Airport taxi from Gatwick a rip-off at £27: local one back £17! ”
