This motel is a typical 1950's motel. Clean, small, quiet and convenient. Perfect for what we were looking for.

Initially when we reviewed the pictures of this property it really looked good! The packing lot area looked very clean and the picture of the bedroom looked nice! But once we walked into our room # 109 it was a total disaster! The room has a closed up / mold smell and the carpet is very dirty, both of the windows curtains didn’t close properly and there is a cold air draft along the floor area, I did notice form along the entire baseboard area of the room. The blankets and bedsheets did not smell fresh or look clean! The extra blankets in the closet looked like it should have been replaced a three years ago! The bathroom was very cold inside and had a mold smell. The door trim on the bathroom door was broken and glued back together, the bathroom sink was missing a sink stopper, the shower leak water from the back of the shower head once you turn on the shower, the tile shower had caulk smeared all along the shower walls and floor instead of grout, it really looked unprofessionally done! I went over to the office to talk to someone about my room but there wasn’t anyone inside the office but I did see a sign posted on the window that stated No refunds! No telephone in the rooms , No Ice! And No pets! I have taken pictures of everything that I have stated in this review and if I could download these pictures I would. I wanted my money back because I really felt I was deceived!

Our room at the Blue Ridge Motel would have been adequate except for the smell. The bathroom was acceptable with clean towels, soap and a good shower. The bed was somewhat comfortable except for the awkward sounds of the plastic-wrapped mattress and box springs. The microwave, mini-fridge and the TV were all in working order. The worst part of the stay was the overwhelming smell as soon as we entered the room. At first we thought it was just the smell of strong cleaning products, and opening the windows seemed to help a little. But the smell did not dissipate and in fact seemed to get worse with the humidity due to rain. The stained and burned carpet felt damp all the time. The odor seemed like old cat pee poorly dealt with and then overwhelmingly covered with a cloying fragrance. We will not be back.

The staff at this hotel is so nice and respectful.Didn’t have any issues with staying here . I wish they offered rooms to pay biweekly with 2 beds but other than that I would definitely recommend staying here if you come to Front Royal and don’t want to stay in a chain motel this is the perfect place ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This cozy charming little gem located in Front Royal Virginia where the beginning of the Skyline Scenic Parkway is. It is nothing fancy, just a budget motel providing a good night sleep. The bed is comfortable and the room is squeaky clean.
