A welcoming & immaculately clean hotel. Location is fantastic, very close to Winchelsea & the coast. Lots of easy walking close by & not far from a lovely pub with good food. Breakfast here was plentiful & delicious .

Nice comfy room, took the trouble to place fans in rooms in the heatwave. Very good breakfast & friendly staff. The price was good as well.

We stayed just for 1 night. The room is a little cosy but very clean and comfortable. Shower was great but as a warning, whilst the room was marked as mobility friendly it's not wheelchair friendly. There is a step up into room and no room to manoeuvre a wheelchair into bathroom I would say. Breakfast was good quality and a good selection.

Shower head holder is broken and you need to hold it manually! Room is next to the road and is very noisy with traffic noise. Breakfast is good with fresh fruits. There is no air con and no fans to lend to customers when we asked.

Nice Hotel,But make sure not to arrive early, I was one hour early as the Lodge open at 3pm, I wasn't allowed to use a toilet for my kid for a whee.

Unfortunately, this was the worst hotel experience I have had. We chose this hotel because it was advertised as pet-friendly. On arrival, the owner told us that our dog could not stay because we had not booked a designated pet-friendly room. Although we believed the booking had been completed correctly, we were required to change rooms and pay an additional charge. When I tried to explain the situation, the owner was extremely rude and dismissive. When I challenged his attitude, he said he could cancel our booking and that we could leave. Arriving late at night in the rain, we had little practical choice but to accept the alternative rooms and additional charge. The rooms had a strong damp and stale smell. We also discovered an area of carpet in one room that smelled strongly of dog excrement. As reception had closed by then, we covered the area with towels for the night. The other staff members we encountered were lovely. However, the owner’s attitude, the unexpected additional charge and the condition of the rooms made this a very disappointing experience.

The poor impression started when we arrived 40 minutes earlier than the book in time of 3pm to find reception shuttered and a sign on the door saying This is not a public Toilet. After traveling for over 100 miles we were hoping to have a coffee or maybe a refreshing glass of lemonade but no chance of that. So we left to find somewhere more welcoming. We came back an hour later after finding a very nice place in Camber to take our money. My wife and I are both in our seventies and we're told our accommodation is upstairs but no one was available to help. We were given our key and general directions and left to it., after climbing the narrow concrete stairs dragging our luggage we got to the landing small 3 ft square with 2 cases but we struggled to open the door as the spring loaded door was so strong we could not hold it open, it was like ark Wright till. In the end we had to wedge a suit case in the doorway to keep it open to allow us to get in. Once we got inside the overall area looked clean and tidy but the problems were just starting, the bathroom door was warped and would not shut, the balcony door took fifteen minutes of persuasion to open, the window s could not be kept open as the fittings were all broken, the roller blind over the balcony door was broken and had holes in it and the mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable
