“Hi Jamie is a lovely young lady that runs the pub. Very helpful. The property is an old pub. There’s homemade food but no breakfast. But up the hill is a great cafe called The Hive. Unfortunately due to the heat we had to have window wide open, the problem is that it’s a is a busy road and therefore you hear lots of traffic noise even late at night . “A 3-star hotel / bed-and-breakfast - very personal, friendly service. The hotel is visited daily by locals buying newspapers. All meals cooked to order, including breakfast - a nice change to the usual experience in hotels nowadays. We turned up at about 4.30pm to find opening time was 5pm - we must have missed this in the instructions. The hotel was open promptly at 5 pm however. On the Sunday the bar closed at 5pm so dinner had to be elsewhere - not a problem for us as we always tend to have...

“Quiet place Nice room”

“Called for one while exploring the Somerset Levels. Perfect location for managed to book the last room, this was the largest of all the rooms available comfortable, clean & very spacious. The propriter was very welcoming on arrival and made us tea to take in the rear.”

“We were in room 3 which was huge, it comprised of a small sitting room, bathroom and large bedroom. Bed was very comfortable, room spotless, tv in both sitting room and bedroom. Small fridge in the sitting room with milk and chilled water which was very welcome as it was extremely hot. Breakfast was lovely, good portions, and all the staff were fantastic.
