Very nice hotel with resort feel. I was disappointed that the oceanfront rooms didn't have a balcony. The beach access is amazing. The fee to reserve a chair and umbrella was worth it. I would however recommend a bracelet for hotel guests to differentiate from those accessing the beach publicly. The rooms are nice and spacious. Lamps were very dusty. Food price was decent. Beach is awesome. Need better signage for parking entry and exit. Staff is extremely professional and accommodating. Need more snack items but walking distance to nice shops and eateries

The grassy courtyard area was lovely! We enjoyed spending time chatting and enjoying the scenery. The rooms were lovely as well! My bed was very comfortable but there needs to a few thinner profile pillows for people who have neck issues. The bathroom was clean, but the sulfur smell from the well water was very severe in the morning. It would lessen when we ran the water for a little time. My big complaints is that we had to pay for 2 chairs and an umbrella, which I think is unacceptable when we are paying such high prices to stay at the hotel. Unfortunately, this nickel and diming lessened my love of the Trailborn.

The property was very nice and the staff very helpful. I do think the photos are a bit misleading. I booked a bay view room from the photos and all the rooms look over a parking lot...then the bay. The rooms are renovated in a bohemian beachy vibe but lack overhead lighting so can be pretty tough to see. Also lack of counter space in the bathroom and storage.
