The buildings in the middle distance are the tiny hamlet of New Laund, just in the next square north. “Can I start by thanking Kate on reception who was very helpful when we requested an early check in at 12pm because we were going to a funeral at 2pm. We had travelled 3 hours from the north and she found us an empty room to get changed in which was much appreciated. The room was perfect, clean and warm. The bar was clean and tidy, we only called in for one after the funeral, no problems. The classic breakfast was perfect with plenty to eat and drink and the staff were helpful.”
