“Easy to find and thanks for a friendly welcome. The room was very clean, and we liked the use of the dining room/garden. Plenty to choose from at breakfast.”

“Clean rooms , w/c seat was broken , window seal was sticky so item's stuck to the surface . Staff were really nice , the bar was good . Great to have free parking . Overall not bad but not memorable enough to return .”

“I had a room on the top floor. It was bright, spacious, clean and it had a great view. I was grateful for the AC in my unit because it was so hot in Margate when I was there. The continental breakfast delicious, lots of choice, the coffee was great and it was included. LOVED IT. Great location right beside the Turner Museum and a short walk to Cliftonville.”

“Paul was super welcoming and accommodating and had some lovely suggestions for things to do in Margate. The Beetroot is in great location and there are plenty of places to get a drink, food or coffee less than 5 minutes away. The room itself was lovely and the bed was super comfy. The seating outside the room and the courtyard are a nice touch too. Thanks Paul! We’d definitely stay again.”

“Easy to find, clear instructions regarding keys, etc.. Not a huge amount of things nearby, apart from the nice beach. Perhaps a bit expensive for what it is, but in the summer the easier access to the beach must be a plus.”

“Excellent location. En-suite room. Friendly staff. Quirky old Victorian style bathroom with shower in roll top bath (would not be suitable for those with mobility issues, as they would have difficulty getting in and out of the bath). It was very hot weather and only one opening window. The fan helps, but could do with air conditioning. The room is fine for a couple of nights. We had an enjoyable atay”

“For me the staff and the welcome made this such a lovely stay. I was a little confused when I arrived as had to go upstairs to the bar to check in but the warm welcome by the owner and the staff made me really feel at home. I was a little worrIED about there being a lot of stairs and the very kind and friendly owner gave me a room on the first floor so I didn’t have to climb too many. My kettle wasn’t working and there was no tv remote and when I told them the kettle wasn’t working replaced...

“Hotel was in a lovely setting right on the river.It did have bad reviews but dont take any notice of them .The room was spotless and well equipped and overlooked the river .We had dinner there and food was good the only slight issue is the menu which should have a few more normal dishes but apart from that it was good as was the breakfast served looking out at the river.Parking was no problem loads of room.We will be going back later this year.”

“We were expecting a well maintained, boutique hotel, sadly it was not. Although refurbished in Nov 2014, the state of our room (1) lacked maintenance. Although each was relatively minor, when 10 issues are present, then the result is a disappointment. I relayed these to the receptionist on departure, and she seemed reluctant to seriously acknowledge the problem. This summed up the general feeling of laissez-faire.”

“Lovely hotel and great position, helpful staff and very good breakfast. The “cosy sea-view room” was pretty tiny though - very nicely furnished but tiny - even for one adult and one child. It was quite claustrophobic. For the cost I would not book that room category again but will definitely return to the hotel!”

“We had a comfortable and friendly stay at St Peter’s B&B. We were given a ground floor converted stable room which was well furnished, comfortable and clean. The ensuite shower was amazing. Both complimentary continental buffet breakfast and hot cooked breakfast of your choice was available. The location was in the centre of Sandwich, less than 5 minutes walk to the shops.
