We have stayed here a few times. It is clean and the beds are pretty comfortable. The price point is great and Willis street is very central to most things. Parking is a bit tight, but that is the same with every wellington hotel and its only $25 which is cheaper than a lot of wellington hotels. Lots of good cafes not far away.

We enjoyed Willis for the accommodation and price. During WOW season, everything else was overpriced. Willis is a great location. Being city fringe, it easily accesses the neighbouring Newtown. The location is convenient to the city, such as Cuba street, and the many dining locations it boasts. It is close enough to the city without being noisy. The room was poorly maintained (cracks, water damage, aged interior), however it was clean (the staff were excellent). There is little soundproofing, so should you be a light sleeper, this is not a good choice. We could hear a lot of noise from outside the room. The windows also did not close properly so there was no ability to filter outside noise. The kettle was truly on it's last leg; spitting water and permanently discoloured a shade of yellow. Please note - There is a notice poster on the building alerting that the site is "earthquake-prone". This is very concerning and had we known, we wouldn't have opted for this accommodation.
