Dangerous drive to reach to hotel
Driving is a horror movie to this hotel!! Gps does not show the exact location. Plus its located in a very far away separeted mountain - the roads are very dangerous!! If you are not a good and experienced driver, do NOT go to this hotel! Hotel is old, but thats not the problem. It has basic comfort and rooms are Ok, the view is amazing.
This place is going to be the "story" of our Switzerland trip.
What you need to know is the drive is.....something else.
Granted, it was at dusk after a rain and it was nerve wracking.
GPS took us through what seemed to me the wrong direction, one lane, partially on the edge of a cliff, through a cow gate, so we turned around and took the other option. Got there, not particularly well marked but there were no cows.
Turns out we were almost there the first time....face palm!
Go through the gate!
BEAUTIFUL view, one of the best meals of the trip, absolutely lovely humans running the place which includes the restaurant. The room was quite large and had everything we needed, but wasn't stylish and new, but that's fine with us. All the style is surrounding and man was it gorgeous!
Great for hiking and I wish we'd stayed longer but it really was a wonderful introduction to Switzerland.
Bijzonder hartelijke ontvangst na een lange dag rijden vanuit Zuid Frankijk. Prachtig uitzicht over de bergen. Ruime familiekamer met aparte slaapkamer voor de kinderen en aparte woonkamer.
Prima ontbijt.
