The staff were friendly and helpful in providing suggestions for food and excursions. The room was well equipped, the kitchen had all the basic necessities. The views of the city and harbour were the main attraction.

This was great location and a perfect place for our family. The separate spaces make it easy for people to do their thing without disturbing others. Having a space downstairs away from the bedrooms is nice. Only downside is that the bedrooms are up and the bathroom is down, so if you have to go in the middle of the night…also this room wouldn’t work for someone who has trouble with stairs. Like my mom couldn’t have stayed with us but it’s a great place. Centrally located to tons of things, easy walking. Not unique to this property, but parking in Victoria was maybe the most challenging part of our trip. Just plan on an extra $20/day to cover parking.

It’s a great old building with a lot of charm. It also has some quirks: be aware that for some rooms, the bedroom and bathroom are on different floors so you might have to descend a flight of stairs in the night if you need to make a visit. Also, the water pressure in the kitchen was poor and the kitchen could use a few extra items, like a large glass or metal bowl for example. The shower was excellent, good heat and pressure, but the towels were kind of cheap and thin. The cleaning staff were great and the place generally felt clean, which isn’t always the case in these older properties.

The housekeeping head of staff was very helpful finding me a pillow that helped me get a great nights sleep in the very comfortable bed. I appreciated her friendly manner and determination to find what I asked for. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The young lady that greeted us when we arrived a little early to drop our bags after an early arrival at the airport was not very welcoming or friendly. Perhaps she'd had a difficult morning. The next day she was okay. The other staff at the desk were very friendly and helpful. The location of this hotel is superb! This is a great deal. The pub downstairs is a popular place. Food is very good. I had one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Overall, I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it wholeheartedly.

Lovely room above the pub with a Juliet balcony. Just what we needed. The pub is open till midnight so not for early sleepers but great location walking distance from everything you could need or want in downtown Victoria. Love the vintage vibe of the room and a full kitchen if you need. Comfortable bed and lovely staff. We will stay here again.

We stayed at Swans for four nights. The suite was the perfect size and layout for our family of two adults and two children aged 8 and 10. Staff cleaned up our room each day and worked around quite a clutter of bikes and other clothes and gear (we were visiting in part to do a Triathlon nearby). The location was perfect, just a short walk from all the restaurants and activities we were excited to visit. Thanks Swans!

We were pleasantly surprised by how large our two bedroom suite was. It was very comfortable. The staff were awesome, so helpful and pleasant. The location is great. We popped down to the pub for dinner and the menu was excellent. The only issue was that the elevator was out 4/5 days during our stay which for us was quite impactful. Would definitely stay here again and recommend.
