I stayed in the suites in the historic building next door to the hotel. It’s a beautiful building, very quiet, comfortable, and clean. Great location right downtown, easy walking distance to everything you might need. The staff were super friendly and helpful - let me check in early on day one and held my suitcase for me all day the day I checked out. I would definitely stay here again.

Ideally situated in Victoria, a short walk from the sea and the whale watching we booked. Guest staff were lovely and really helpful with a good sense of humour. It’s an old hotel so no elevators but assistance was offered with luggage. Helpful recommendations for places to visit and eat out. Would definitely recommend.

The James Bay Inn is very old but seems to be well maintained. It oozes character and uniqueness to that I have never experienced before. The staff are awesome and very accommodating and the location is perfect for walking downtown or to the beaches. We loved our stay and if we ever get back out that way, we will definitely make this our place to stop

Highly recommend the James Bay Inn. Great location and easy walking distance to the downtown harbour and shopping and to Beacon Hill Park. Staff is super friendly! Just need to be able to climb stairs as the 1911 Inn has not elevator.
