My preferred accommodation in Victoria. It’s always friendly, clean and room well suited for my short stays. The location is perfect, only a few steps from the inner city and in a very quiet location with parking, too. The pub and restaurant are quite popular with in local neighbourhood and guests, and I find them to provide good food and service with an attractive, busy vibe.

We opted to stay in one of their two-bedroom cottages since it was just a bit more expensive than getting rooms .. and what a great choice that was! Parking right outside our door, a full kitchen, and probably more space than we needed. The beds were comfortable, and really it was just a great place to stay. Wish we could have stayed longer. Their restaurant was great too!

I love staying at the James Bay Inn. The exterior of this historic building is what originally caught my eye. Step inside to early 1900’s furniture throughout the building. The staff is wonderful - helpful and friendly, and that’s including the restaurant and pub folks. There are two balconies where you can sit enjoying a morning cup of tea or coffee, or evening beverage. A variety of room choices too. We like the location as it’s in a quiet neighborhood and walkable to the water (a few blocks down the street) and a 10-15 minute walk to the Inner Harbour area. Highly recommend James Bay Inn.
